The widespread impact of the Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton tragedies is being felt in communities across the southeast. Dembo Jones’ thoughts are with the families and communities working through the extensive recovery process.
For those impacted by the storm, there are options for tax relief in the entire states of Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, Florida, Tennessee and Virginia.
The IRS announced that those impacted by Hurricane Helene or Hurricane Milton have until May 1, 2025 to file various individual and business tax returns, and to make tax payments. This includes the 2024 tax returns for individuals and businesses which are normally due in March and April, 2025, 2023 returns with valid extensions, and quarterly estimated tax payments.
