C & O Canal – Park After Dark: The Chesapeake & Ohio Canal National Historical Park and the C&O Canal Trust is a not-for-profit providing historical programming of the canal and preserving the hundreds of original structures, locks, lockhouses and aqueducts running throughout the park’s 20,000 acres. Dembo Jones is a longtime sponsor of the organization’s annual Park After Dark event.

This year’s event took place on Saturday, September 21 at the Historic Great Falls Tavern, featuring fantastic food, drink, live music and campfires under the stars. Every year, the event raises $200,000.  Dembo Jones Director Bert Swain is the Treasurer of the C&O Canal Trust Board of Directors.

Gilchrist Center – Taste of Howard County: Dembo Jones is returning this fall as a sponsor of the 39th Annual Taste of Howard County event to benefit Gilchrist Center Howard County. On Sunday, October 20 at Turf Valley Resort, Taste of Howard County will offer attendees samplings of more than 20 Howard County restaurants.

Gilchrist Center Howard County supports community members through elder medical care, counseling and hospice to ensure they access every opportunity to live healthy, fulfilling lives and make informed decisions about their care. It’s the only inpatient hospice center in Howard County.
