Racing for the Police with Howard County Sponsorship

Dembo Jones’ commitment to the communities where its offices and its clients are located continues with the firm’s sponsorship of the upcoming Police Pace 5K, 10K and 1 Miler in Howard County, Maryland.

The 2022 Police Pace will be held at Centennial Park in Ellicott City on Sunday, September 11, 2022. Now in its 31st year, the race to benefit the Howard County Police Foundation will include a 5K, 10K, and a 1 Miler. All participants are also invited to observe the commemorative 9/11 ceremony prior to the race, held in the Memorial Grove at the park with Howard County officials honoring the sacrifice of first responders.

The annual community event raises funds for the Howard County Police Foundation to support programs not covered in the police department budget, including youth programs, special equipment and scholarships. A portion of all registration fees will be donated to the Foundation.

The Foundation granted over $40,000 to the Police Department in FY 22 for such initiatives as youth programs, scholarships for officers and students, professional development programs, and awards for outstanding police officers and civilian personnel.

Dembo Jones Director Dane Nettelbladt joined the Howard County Police Foundation Board of Directors this year.
