Park After Dark Raises Funds for National Historic Park
Dembo Jones’ commitment to its communities continues with the firm’s sponsorship of the C&O Canal Trust fundraising event, Park After Dark.
On September 17, nearly 200 guests enjoyed great food, libations, a campfire, music, and more… all to benefit the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal National Historical Park. Held for the first time since 2019, Park After Dark raised $233,750, surpassing their fundraising goal and totals of previous Park After Dark events.
The C&O Canal Trust, as the official nonprofit partner of the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal National Historical Park, works in partnership with the National Park Service and local communities to raise funds to preserve the Park for future generations and to broaden support through programs that highlight the Park’s historical, natural, and cultural heritage and recreational opportunities. The C&O Canal National Historical Park (NHP) is the eleventh most visited out of 423 parks in the National Park System, welcoming five million visitors each year.
Dembo Jones Director Bert Swain is the Treasurer of the C&O Canal Trust Board of Directors.
