Falling for the Special Olympics
At a firm filled with fearless leaders and fearless staffers, it seems only natural that Dembo Jones would sign-on for a “Fearless Leader” sponsorship for Special Olympics Maryland’s annual fundraising event, Over the Edge.
On September 23, rappellers – including Dembo Jones’ Clare Colleli, Nancy Guerra and Tina LaLuna – will descend 12 stories of the 6100 Merriweather building in Columbia, Maryland, the tallest building in Howard County. Clare, Nancy and Tina participated in the event last year; they’ll train and practice before making their downward climb as they go “over the edge” to benefit this good cause.
All funds raised at Over the Edge support Special Olympics Maryland – Howard County, the county’s largest year-round organization devoted to sports training and competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Each year, 850 Special Olympics Howard County athletes participate in over 24 sports programs.
