Brent Croghan Re-elected Treasurer of Conflict Resolution Center of Montgomery County
Dembo Jones Co-CEO Brent Croghan has been reelected as Board Member and Treasurer of the nonprofit Conflict Resolution Center of Montgomery County (CRCMC).
The organization provides free mediation services to Montgomery County residents as well as offers programs in local public schools and assists those involved in the criminal justice system with re-entering society.
Since joining the organization, Brent has focused on optimizing and verifying the accounting system to ensure the CRCMC can secure grants that bolster its capacity. That’s because more and more government agencies, business owners, and individuals are turning to mediation as an alternative to litigation to amicably resolve disputes.
“In my time at CRCMC I’ve learned conflict does not have to rise to the level of raised voices,” says Brent. “The ability of reasonable people to overcome hostility by talking and listening is inspirational. The staff and volunteers just downright care about their community and our mission and, it’s refreshing.”
