Best Wishes in Retirement to Jennifer Andrews and Cindy Fisher
In June, Dembo Jones staff gathered to offer farewell wishes and good luck in retirement to Director Jennifer Andrews and Manager Cindy Fisher.
Previously a dental hygienist, Jennifer Andrews went back to school, choosing to study accounting at Georgia State University based on her enthusiasm for math. It took! After 38 years in the industry, says Jennifer, “I chose wisely because I can’t say I’ve ever been bored in public accounting.” Unflappable in the face of any impending deadline, Jennifer has long offered indispensable mentorship and career guidance for younger members of the Dembo Jones team. She’s excited to spend more time with her kids and grandkids and enjoying golf, tennis, yoga, and crafting.
Director of Small Business Services at Cardoni Waddell prior to its merger with Dembo Jones, Cindy Fisher was an anchor for colleagues after the passing of Ed Waddell — not only helping co-workers through the emotional turmoil of losing a friend and mentor, but also ensuring client’s work moved forward. In public accounting since 2004, Cindy earned her Bachelor’s in accounting from University of Baltimore and is known throughout the firm for her QuickBooks skills and ability to motivate colleagues to stay active and improve their health.
“Cindy’s and Jennifer’s contributions to our clients, our expertise, and to the development and well-being of their colleagues have been invaluable,” said Co-CEO Jim Green. “We offer them a heartfelt congratulations on their retirement, thank them for their great work, and wish them both the best!”
Cindy and Jennifer are both looking forward to being more involved in their churches and giving back to their communities.
